Festus Grad Cole Rickerman to Play Basketball at Jefferson College

(HILLSBORO)    Former Festus High school football and basketball standout Cole Rickerman says he is excited that he will play basketball next season for the Jefferson College Vikings. Rickerman graduated last year from Festus and went off to play quarterback at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. But he was sidelined with a shoulder injury just when workouts began. He came home to recover at Christmas and that’s when thoughts about basketball and Jefferson College were put in motion.

Rickerman  says there wasn’t much time between getting clearance to play and participating in the tryout at Jeffco for head coach C.B. Walker.

Coach Walker says Rickerman has great attributes for a basketball player

According to Walker, he is glad to have Cole on board.

Walker says he still has a few players he is recruiting for next year’s team.
