Festus hires new Parks Director

The City of Festus has hired a new Director of Parks and Recreation. The position has been vacant since the passing of Larry Crites in late April. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says they hired from within and decided on Josh Whaley.

Camp says the hiring of Whaley helps as they look to fill another high profile city position.

Whaley has been an employee with the City of Festus for over ten years. The city hopes to fill the position of Public Works Director before the end of the month.
