(FESTUS) Thursday on the Jefferson County Athletic Director Summer Series on KJFF Sports Talk, Festus Athletic Director Eric Allen discussed the upcoming 2019-2020 sports season. Of note is the changing of the guard in wrestling and boys tennis.

Allen says that wrestling will now be run by Jason Nahlik.

As for tennis, assistant coach Angie Tinnin will be taking over for Tom Thomas.

The Festus volleyball team reached the Class 3 Quarterfinals last year and are once again led by Karen Biehle who Allen says epitomizes what the Tigers are all about.

The 36th Annual Festus Karen Biehle volleyball tournament will be on October 5th.

Of course, there was a conversation about Homecoming activities on October 11th when the Festus Tigers face Pacific.

For the first official games of the fall season for Festus, the Tiger football team will open at home against Fox on August 30th; volleyball will be at home on September 3rd against Ste. Genevieve; softball travels to Farmington on September 3rd; boy’s soccer at St. Clair on August 30th; and cross country will participate in the Tim Nixon Invitational on September 7th at Liberty High School.
