Festus Man Receives Serious Injuries in Motorcycle/Car Crash in Jefferson County

(Festus) A man from Festus was seriously injured after a car/motorcycle crash Wednesday night in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 61 at I-55 when a Mercury Sable driven by 51-year-old Randal Howard of St. Louis was stopped on the off ramp at northbound I-55 at 61.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by 36-year-old John Clatto of Festus was travelling north on 61.

Howard’s car crossed 61 toward the on ramp when the front of the motorcycle struck the side of Howard’s car.

Clatto was seriously injured and was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
