Festus Man Seriously Injured in Auto-Accident in Jefferson County

(St. Louis, Mo.) A man from Festus was taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis after being involved in a one-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Jefferson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place on Mapaville Hematite Road, at Plass Road, when a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 24-year-old Zachary Hancock of Festus ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment and utility pole.
Hancock sustained serious injuries in the crash.
