Festus’ Mya Hairston is Girls Wrestling Athlete of the Year

Mya Hairston of the Festus Tigers is the Winter Dream Team Girls Wrestler of the Year. This year, Hairston became a state champion, a 2 time district champion, and a two time Wonder Woman Medalist. Hairston says she found out her hard work paid off at a very familiar location.

Hairston talks about what it means to have all those in-season and offseason practices translate to the accolades she has now.

Hairston wanted to thank a few people.

Hairston will return for her senior year of wrestling for Festus. Her goal for next season is to finish the year undefeated.
