(IMPERIAL) The visiting Festus Tigers beat Windsor 2-0 in a pitcher’s duel Thursday night on KJFF.

In the top of the 1st inning, Festus threatened to score with the bases loaded and two outs, but Owls starter Connor Hartmann struck out Eddie Martin on a fastball to end the frame. In the bottom of the 1st, the Owls had two men on and two outs before Festus starter Charlie Pratt got Hartmann to ground out to 2nd base.

Scoreless still in the top of the 3rd, second baseman Collin Reando pulled through for the Tigers.

 
Then in the top of the 7th inning with the score still 1-0 Tigers, Cole Wagner stole 2nd base and Caleb Hyde brought him in.

 
The Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game was pitcher Charlie Pratt. He tossed a complete game shutout which included 8 strikeouts and only 3 hits allowed.

 
Tigers head coach Jeff Montgomery praised good ole Charlie.

 
Festus improves to 2-6 and the Owls fall to 3-3. The Tigers will next face Jefferson at home on Tuesday while Windsor is back at home on Monday against Affton.
