Festus Police Back to Full Staff

(Festus) The Festus Police Department is back up to full strength after the recent hire of three new officers.

Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis announces who the new patrol officers are.

Chief Lewis says it has been difficult trying to find people wanting to enter into the law enforcement profession.

Each new hired officer will go through a training period where they’ll ride-along with another experienced officer before being allowed to patrol on their own.
