Festus R-6 New Early Childhood Center Ready for School Year

(FESTUS) Festus R-6 School Superintendent Dr. Nicki Ruess says the district’s new Early Childhood Center is ready for the new school year. The center has had a full enrollment for quite some time. The Tiny Tiger Academy is for ages 3-5. Previously, Festus was in a partnership with the Dunklin R-5 School District for its Pre-K program. Ruess says the center will hold its grand opening Tuesday August 8th from 6-8pm.
According to Ruess, staffing for the center is complete.
The Tiger Academy is a half day program Monday through Thursday and will follow the Festus School District calendar. The AM session will be 8:30 until 11:30 and the PM session will be from 12:30 until 3:30pm. At this time there are no full day options available. The center is located at 821 American Legion Drive.
