Festus Ranked 20th Safest City in Missouri

(Missouri) The National Council for Home Safety and Security released their annual list of cities that are the safest in Missouri with the least amount of violent and nonviolent crimes per population.

Festus topped the list of towns within the Regional Radio Listening area coming in at number 20 with 56 violent crimes reported alongside 202 property crimes.

Arnold was next on the list in the listening area coming in at 42 while Farmington ranked in at 46 on the list.

The safest city in the state according to this release was Webster Groves with only 25 violent crimes and 164 property crimes reported.

The study was focused on data from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting tool and comparing that information with the councils own research.
