Festus rezoning a portion of property

(Festus) The Festus City Council has approved a bill to rezone a portion of property on American Legion Drive. The zoning change will open the door for a mini storage and indoor storage facility to be built next to a gas station. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says they need to rezone that portion of property from commercial to industrial.

Camp says the process took some time as the council wanted to review it closely.

The Festus City Council was split with a 4-4 vote, but mayor Sam Richards broke the tie in favor of the change.
