Festus School District set to Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

(Festus) Much like the Dunklin, Fox and Northwest School Districts, the Festus School District will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for Jefferson County Educators.

Superintendent Dr. Link Luttrell says their clinic will be held on Friday, March 26th.

The district plans to have the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 available to those educators that want to receive the vaccine.

In other news in the Festus School District, despite having a few weather set backs recently, construction of the new Performing Arts Center continues to run on schedule.

The district marked a milestone in the construction with crews raising one of the final structural beams into place over the main entrance to the center.

There was a topping off ceremony that was held on March 9th to celebrate construction being halfway finished with the opening scheduled for October.

Funding for the Performing Arts Center was made possible by the passage of Proposition F in April 2019.
