Festus’ Schram continues cross country tradition with Dream Team nod

Festus Tigers sophomore Ian Schram is the next in a long line of excellent cross country runners to wear the black and gold.

He made that evident with a selection to the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Schram won the individual Class 4 District 1 championship and helped Festus win a seventh straight team state title.

And, in his eyes, living up to the legacy of what the Tigers do as a team matters as much as his personal success.

Schram earned a top-four finish at the state meet alongside fellow Dream Team member and teammate Cullen Krieg.

Schram says he and his sophomore teammate knew right away they had a chance to be great.

But Schram also says there’s motivation in knowing he has a chance to win an individual state championship.

Schram also won the JCAA Championships race, the Forest Park meet and the Bowels Invitational.
