Festus’ Schram sprints to another Dream Team honor

(Festus) Ian Schram is becoming one of the best distance runners in all of Missouri.

After making the Regional Radio Dream Team in cross country, the Festus Tigers sophomore added a Dream Team selection for boys’ track & field to a season to remember.

Schram was all-state in the 1,600 and 3,200-meter races.

But he’s well aware he had tough competition to beat out for this particular honor.

Schram was part of the 4-by-800-meter relay team that won a state title.

This comes on the heels of Festus winning a whopping seventh straight team title in boys’ cross country.

Schram says cross country has taught him a lot that carried over from the fall to the spring.

Schram also ran one of the fastest times in the state in the 400 meters.

But he is quick to thank his team, including the great Festus runners of the past.

Schram ran the fastest mile in school history during a season where he was all-conference and all-district in all of his events.
