Festus seeks to keep flying high against Fox in boys’ hoops on KJFF

(Arnold) The Festus Tigers will look to continue their strong play in the second half of the season when they visit the Fox Warriors Friday on KJFF.

Few boys’ basketball teams in Jefferson County have been as dominant as the Tigers, who are 18-4 and have an average margin of victory of 17 points per game.

Thanks to the play of stars like junior point guard Arhmad Branch and seniors Cole Rickermann and Eric Reuss, Festus’ only losses since the middle of December have been to state-ranked teams.

Tigers head coach Jason Therrell says his team is in top form because they never shift out of first gear.

Fox has struggled to a 3-15 record and 8 straight losses.

The Tigers visit the Warriors looking to win their fifth straight in the series.

Coverage of Festus and Fox starts with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 6:45 on AM 1400 KJFF.
