The Festus Tigers volleyball team made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the Class 3 volleyball championship in 2018, and that was in large part due to the efforts of junior outside hitter Bria Garmon.

Garmon made the Fall 2018 Dream Team, making both First Team All-District and All-Conference for the third year in a row.

Garmon thinks that team chemistry played a critical role in the success this season.

The outside hitter Garmon believes she personally has improved every season, focusing specifically on leadership and back row defense this year.

While Garmon still has one year left of high school at Festus, she is already eyeing the future.

Interestingly enough, while she plans to play volleyball after her senior year, the idea is to do it on sand rather than indoors.
