Festus wins Twin City Days Mayor’s Challenge again

(Festus, Crystal City) The City of Festus successfully defended its title as champions of the Twin City Days Mayor’s Challenge. This year’s competition was once again, “corn hole”, and Festus dominated winning all four games to keep the belt this (Thursday) morning. Festus Mayor Sam Richards says the team did well.

Festus Street Foreman Shain Dollar was one of the players on the team. He says they felt it would be their day.

Festus City Administrator Greg Camp gave lots of credit to Dollar for assembling the team of eight players.

Festus has now won two years in a row after Crystal City had won seven straight years. The Twin City Days Mayor’s Challenge was held at near the ballpark pavilion at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park in Festus.
