File your personal property assessment list

(Hillsboro) Residents in the area that need to file their 2023 personal property assessment list need to do so later this week to avoid a possible penalty. Bob Boyer is the Jefferson County Assessor. He says residents should have already received their list through the mail.

Boyer says many residents are taking advantage of filing online.

Boyer says residents also need to make the necessary changes to what they own as of the start of this year.

Boyer says those that do not file by Wednesday (March 1st) will get a second notification through the mail and need to send in that form by May 1st to avoid a tax penalty which could be over one hundred dollars. Those wanting more information or to e-file their list can do so by visiting the Jefferson County Assessors Office page on the county website Jeffco MO dot org.
