Filing is Underway for August Primary Election

(Jefferson City) Candidates can now file to run for offices in Missouri.

This is for the August primary for statewide positions, Missouri legislative position and for county government positions.

You must file in person at the Secretary of State’s office in Jefferson City.

Secretary Jay Ashcroft says he was impressed with the participation during Tuesday’s opening day of filing.

The filing period goes until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31st.
