Fire Crews Respond to Residential Fire in the Hillsboro Area

(Hillsboro) Area fire crews responded to the 11000 block of Everglades Road southeast of Hillsboro this past Saturday for a first alarm residential fire.

Hillsboro Fire Protection District Chief Brian Gaudet says they were dispatched to the home just before 11:30 Saturday night.

We asked Chief Gaudet if the house is considered a total loss.

Fire crews remained on scene until about 3 Sunday morning.

According to Chief Gaudet, the cause of the fire is undetermined, but not suspicious.

Hillsboro fire was assisted by Mapaville, De Soto Rural, Goldman and Hematite Fire Protection Districts alongside the De Soto City Fire Department.
