Firefighters Dealing with Cold Temperatures and Winter Precipitation

(Jefferson County) Other than the summer months, the winter always poses some issues and concerns with area first responders, especially firefighters.
Mick Fischer is the fire chief for the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District. He says cold temperatures along with winter precipitation always makes fighting fires a challenge.
Chief Fischer mentions while trying to put out any fire during the winter, they have to be mindful of their water usage on scene.
The National Weather Service is calling for more rain and snow Thursday through Friday night.
