Firefighters Respond to 1st Alarm Fire in the Mapaville Area

(Festus) Firefighters responded to a 1st alarm residential fire in the 10 block of Meadow Ridge Drive outside of Festus on September 24th.

Mapaville Fire Chief Dave Brown says the call came in around 6:30 that evening.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but not considered suspicious.

The Mapaville Fire Protection District was assisted by the Goldman, Dunklin, and Hillsboro Fire Protection District’s alongside the Joachim Plattin Ambulance District.

The Festus Fire Department was moved up to cover The Mapaville Engine House.
