Firefighters Respond to Small Fire at the Russell House in Hillsboro

(Hillsboro) Fire crews with the Hillsboro Fire Protection District responded to the Russell House early Saturday morning in reference to a smoke alarm that sounded sometime around 1:20 that morning. According to Hillsboro Fire Chief Brian Gaudet, upon arrival firefighters located a small fire in the basement.

Chief Gaudet believes mother nature may have been the cause of the fire.

Chief Gaudet says there wasn’t much damage to the building.

Hillsboro fire was assisted by the Goldman, Dunklin, Cedar Hill, De Soto Rural and Mapaville Fire Protection Districts.
