First Alarm Fire at Quality Inn in Festus

Fire crews responded to Quality Inn in Festus late Sunday morning in reference to a first alarm fire.
According to Festus Fire Department Chief Kevin Cremer, firefighters were dispatched out around 10:08 Sunday morning.
Cremer says the fire was extinguished within 10-15 minutes after fire crews arrival.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious.
The Festus Fire Department was assisted by Crystal City and Herculaneum Fire Departments as well as Hematite, Jefferson R-7, and Dunklin Protection Districts.
The Mapaville Fire Protection District was called up to cover the station house in Festus.
