First Quarter Fuels Farmington Boys Past Festus Tonight on J98

(Farmington) The Farmington boys basketball team could do no wrong Tuesday night as they rolled to an 82-54 win over Festus on J98.

The first quarter set the tone for the rest of the game as the Knights raced out to a massive lead and never looked back.

It was a 25-point lead after the first quarter with the score 34-9 in favor of Farmington.

It was close the rest of the way as the Knights only outscored the Tigers 48-45 over the final three frames, but the early lead was too much to overcome.

The Knights’ Brant Gray and Jacob Jarvis were named the Applebee’s of Farmington Players of the Game as they finished with 24 and 21 points respectively.

Farmington assistant coach Garrett Callahan said it always looks good when the shots fall the way they did tonight.

Farmington improves to (11-5) with the win and will be back at home on Friday when they host Fredericktown.

Festus falls to (13-5) and will be at home on Friday when they host DeSoto.
