(Hillsboro) The first semester for students in the Hillsboro School District will wrap up at the end of this week.

The semester was pushed back after the school district started the school year in late August due to the coronavirus. Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson says the second semester will begin next week.

We asked Dr. Isaacson what parents, students, and teachers can expect heading into the second half of the school year.

According to Dr. Isaacson, more students have opted to all virtual learning versus in-person learning for the second half of the school year.

Breaking that down, 78 percent of the student body will be attending classes in-person compared to 22 percent all virtual.

The second semester begins on Monday in the Hillsboro School District.
