The first winter storm of the year is set to ravage across Missouri. The storm is expected to enter the state overnight on Monday and drop a rain and snow mix expected around southeast Missouri all day Tuesday. There are strong winds expected with this storm as well, according to Melissa Mainhart of the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected around 32 degrees Tuesday with a wind chill in the mid 20s. Mainhart expresses caution for those that are planning on driving during that time.
Sunny skies are expected Wednesday to help clear any snow left over. The high for Wednesday is expected to be around the high 30s.
