Flu Shots & the Coronavirus in Washington County

(Potosi) It’s getting near that time to get that flu shot for the season that’s about to start.

Shawnee Douglas with the Washington County Health Department in Potosi says their flu vaccine should be arriving soon.

We also asked Douglas if Washington County is still seeing new cases of the coronavirus.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services website shows 22 new cases of Covid-19 in Washington County in the last 7 days.

Washington County is listed as under a medium community transmission level at the moment.

Iron and St. Francois counties currently have a high community transmission level. St. Francois has 151 new cases and Iron has recorded 14 new cases in the last 7 days.

The state website also shows that Missouri had 16 coronavirus related deaths during the week of September 4th.
