It’s been a wild ride since Jake Bridges’ football career ended at Central High School.

Bridges is entering his fourth and final season as the starting quarterback at Missouri Valley College in Marshall.

Bridges says he was preparing right after his time with the Rebels for the next level, but didn’t really know he would be a starter right away.

Bridges eventually took over the starting job and has not relinquished it, leading the Vikings to the NAIA national playoffs in 2016 and throwing for over 7,000 yards and 59 touchdowns in 3 years at Valley.
Bridges credits his collegiate success to his Central years.

Bridges is looking for a bounceback senior season after throwing 11 interceptions in 2018 and only winning 3 games at MVC. He says the Vikings are equipped to turn it around.

Bridges has 2 brothers will be playing football for Central in the fall.
