Former Farmington Business Owner Arrested for Sexual Assault in Colorado

(Colorado City) A former Farmington businessman and restaurant owner has been arrested in Colorado.

According to The Pueblo Chieftan, 65-year-old Bruce U. Harris, who now lives in Colorado City, was arrested Tuesday on a no-bond felony warrant for sexual assault-position of trust.

A person in a position of trust has any sexual contact with a person less than 18 years old.

And per Colorado law, it defines a position of trust as any person who is a parent or acting in place of a parent.

Harris was the owner of Schlotzky’s Deli.

It used to be located on Karsch Boulevard.

The chain-deli closed down in Farmington over a decade ago.

The minimum sentence Harris could receive if found guilty on this charge in Colorado is two years in prison.
