(Salem) A former mayor of Salem has been arrested in Dent County on serious, criminal charges.
According to the probable cause statement, 47-year-old Bradley “Brad” Jay Nash was arrested after two female minors, one under 17 and the other even younger, filed a report and were interviewed by police.
They said they were both touched inappropriately numerous times by Nash who is their father through adoption.
The alleged incidents took place from April 2022 to April 2023.
Nash was arrested last Thursday and now faces three felonies…two counts of first degree statutory sodomy and second degree child molestation.
As of right now, Nash is being held with no bond, although his lawyer has filed a motion for a bond reduction.
No new court date has been set at this time according to Missouri Casenet.
Besides being the mayor of Salem previously, Nash also at one time led the Dent County Fire Protection District and he had also been the director of Dent County Emergency Management.
