Former State Representative From Madison County Passes

(Fredericktown) A Madison County man, who served his area as a state representative in 1968, has passed away.

Raymond L. Skaggs died last Saturday in St. Louis.

The Fredericktown man had served the 150th House District.

Skaggs was also owner of Raymar Construction, he was on the S.M.T.S. and Madison County Water District board of directors.

Raymond was an active member of the Fredericktown Rotary Club and he was very involved in community service.

He was also a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Fredericktown.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters and several grand children and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday morning at 8:30 until the funeral starts at 10 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fredericktown.

Raymond Skaggs was 89-years-old.
