After plenty of success at Valle Catholic, Daniel Bergtholdt wanted to see what he could do as a pitcher in college baseball.

Bergtholdt just finished up his career at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau this spring, where from day one he was playing with stars like future major league hurler Joey Luchessi, who’s now with the San Diego Padres.

Bergtholdt moved in to a more featured role in his last 2 seasons with the Redhawks, including finishing tied for second on the team in innings pitched and strikeouts in 2018.
He notes how his time at Valle made moving to SEMO a seamless transition.

Bergholdt says the arm care regimens he has encountered is something all young pitchers should consider.

After graduation, Bergtholdt has moved back to Ste. Genevieve and is working in insurance sales.
