(Viburnum) Contact tracing is underway by the Iron County Health Department, after only four days into a new school year, the Viburnum School District has it’s first confirmed case of the coronavirus.

A news release from the district superintendent says a staff member has the virus and has been quarantined.

If you were within 6-feet and spent 15 or more minutes with this individual, you will be contacted to be tested for the virus.

The school is currently looking at individuals who would be including and will pass that info on to the health department.

Besides the one positive case at the Viburnum school, six individuals within the district, have recently been quarantined.

Superintendent Kent Sherrow says at this time, officials will maintain school operations as planned.
