Four Injured in Jefferson County Crash

(Hillsboro) A three-car accident in Jefferson County injured four people Tuesday afternoon.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that 78-year-old Walter Venable of Sullivan rear ended a Chevrolet Impala driven by 18-year-old Carmen Schmidt of Cedar Hill. Venable’s Pontiac Vibe also hit the right rear of a Toyota Rav4 driven by 60-year-old Mary Brenner of Fort Scott, Kansas. The two vehicles that were struck were stopped at a red light on Route MO-30 at Local Hillsboro road. Venable, Schmidt, and Brenner all suffered injuries in the crash. Venable’s passenger, 70-year-old Sharon Venable, was also injured in the accident. All four people were transported to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.
