Four Injured in Washington County Crash

(Washington County) Four people were injured in a three vehicle accident Thursday in Washington County, one seriously.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Highway 8, just east of Ridgeway Road when a Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by 37-year-old Joshua Gibson of Potosi was backing out of a private drive and was partially in the driving lane when the left front of a Jeep Renegade driven by 17-year-old Jordan Browne of Potosi struck a towed unit being pulled by the pickup.

The Jeep then crossed the centerline, causing the front of the Jeep to strike the front of a tractor-trailer driven by 72-year-old William Lewis of Ava.

Browne was seriously injured and his passenger, 26-year-old Caleb Browne of Potosi was moderately injured.

Lewis received minor injuries and his passenger, 68-year-old Rita Lewis of Ava received moderate injuries.

Jordan Browne was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the other three were taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.
