(ARNOLD) The Fox football Warriors will be challenging the Jackson Indians for the Class 5 District 1 championship Friday night in Jackson. The Indians are the top seed at 10-0 and the Warriors are the two-seed at 9-1. Jackson is led by sophomore running back Daniel Dickerson who has nearly 1,200 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Also in the backfield and putting up outstanding numbers this year is their sophomore quarterback Cael Welker. He has thrown for 2,700-plus yards and 37 touchdowns.

Fox head coach Brent Tinker believes his guys are ready for the challenge after having their best offensive game of the season in the 62-35 win over Seckman last week.

Tinker has his boys ready for any type of game the Indians may want to play.

Once the Warriors got on a roll this season, including getting off to their best start in school history when they began the season at 6-0, coach Tinker had full faith his guys would fear no one. He knows Jackson won’t be intimidated by his team either.

Fox and Jackson will grind it out for the Class 5 District 1 championship beginning at 7 Friday night.
