Fox & Festus boys face off on KJFF

(Festus) Perhaps the top boys’ basketball team in Jefferson County faces one of its hottest as the Fox Warriors visit the Festus Tigers Friday on KJFF.

Fox has rallied behind junior Brendan Moss and seniors Luke Pisoni and Myles Richardson to win five in a row and seven of their last 11 to improve to 9-11.

But Festus has been dominant since the new year, winning eight of their last nine to get to 16-5.

Tigers head coach Jason Therrell says it starts with the literal and figurative growth of sophomore point guard Ahrmad Branch.

Since it became a yearly series in 2011, the Warriors have dropped eight of nine against the Tigers.

Fox hopes to keep rolling when it faces a strong Festus team Friday evening at 7.

Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 on AM 1400 KJFF.
