Fox soccer looking to use defense to take next steps

(Arnold) The Fox Warriors are looking to make some strides in boys’ soccer in 2020.

After 8 wins last season, head coach Nathan Niehaus says they’ll need to be a cohesive unit more often.

Despite struggles scoring in 2019, the Warriors were at their best when they played stout defense.

With the return of senior goalkeeper Mitchell Westbrock, Niehaus says they will again emphasize the defensive third.

With a senior-heavy team, Niehaus says they’re making sure that they seize every opportunity.

Fox gets the 2020 boys’ soccer season underway Saturday at Farmington.
