Fox Standout Linebacker Pisoni Makes Second Consecutive Dream Team

(Arnold) The Fox Warriors football team had studs across the field this year, but on the defensive side, one stood out among the rest.

For the second consecutive year, linebacker Luke Pisoni was chosen by area coaches as a member of the Regional Radio Football Dream Team.

He says the selection is validation of all the hard work he has put in.

Simply put, Pisoni has been a tackling machine for Fox over the past two seasons.

He tied his own school record with 122 tackles this year, the exact same amount he had in the record-setting season a year ago.

He also had 10 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Pisoni was an equally capable running back for the Warriors this year with 48 carries for 409 yards and three catches for 74 yards.

He breaks down the team’s philosophy on defense.

Pisoni is a member of the deep and talented senior class for Fox that helped lead the team to their first 10-win season and district championship in program history.

He says the seniors had always been a tight-knit group that held each other accountable.

In addition to earning his second straight Dream Team selection, Pisoni also earned his second consecutive spot on both the 1st Team All-Conference and All-District teams.

He also stamped himself into the MSHSAA record books when he recorded 25 tackles in the game against De Smet, putting him 12th on the state’s all-time list for tackles in a single game.
