(ARNOLD) The Fox Warriors football squad enjoyed a highly successful 2018 season. The Warriors were champions of the Suburban West-National Conference going a perfect 4-0 in league play, and made it to the Class 5 District 1 Championship game falling to unbeaten Jackson 42-23 on Friday night.

Head coach Brent Tinker says a tough first half set the tone for the loss.

On a positive note, Cole Elwood ran for over 100 yards to become the third player on the team to reach 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Elwood joined both Bob Neibert and quarterback Gavin McGinness in the 1,000-yard club.

Coach Tinker says it’s quite the accomplishment.

Fox finished the season with a final mark of 9-2. The Warriors had a total of 15 seniors that played their final game on Friday night.
