Fox’s Parker pushes to the top on the way to golf Dream Team

(Arnold) Jack Parker’s meteoric rise to becoming one of the top high school golfers in the St. Louis area was one of the best stories from Fox Warriors athletics this past year.

Now, after being runner-up for Suburban Conference Golfer of the Year, the junior can also claim to be part of the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Parker finished first in eight out of 9 match-play events this season.

He says making the Dream Team adds to the list of evidence that he’s grown as a golfer by leaps and bounds.

Parker finished third at the Suburban Conference Championships, fourth at the St. Pius Invitational and sixth at the Seckman Invite.

He says the biggest key to his success was finally nailing down accuracy with his driver.

And Parker has a few people he says were also crucial to his great season.

Parker had a 9-hole average of 39 strokes and was an 8-time medalist in dual matches.
