Franklin County Man Arrested in Jefferson County for being in Operation of a Stolen Vehicle

(Imperial) A Franklin County man was arrested in Jefferson County after he was caught in operation of a stolen vehicle.

The incident happened on the morning of March 26.

Grant Bissell is the Public Safety Information Coordinator for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

He says this all started after a man in St. Louis County noticed his car was stolen and by using GPS was able to track down the vehicle to the 1200 block of Main Street in Imperial.

Bissell mentions by the time the suspect came back, sheriff’s deputies were already on scene.

The suspect, a 28-year-old man from Roberstville was arrested on Assault in the 2nd Degree, Driving While Intoxicated, Armed Criminal Action and Driving on a Revoked License.

Official charges from the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office are still pending.
