Fredericktown Boys Use Late Push To Knock Off West County

Fredericktown defended their home court against West County 55-45 in a game we broadcast on KREI. West County used a 10-0 run to take a nine point lead in the secord quarter, but Fredericktown ran right back with nine straight. The Bulldogs went to the locker room up by four, but Fredericktown responded with a 11-4 push to take a lead. It was back and forth from there. Ty Harlow scored a game-high 23 and hit seven threes in the process.

With the game tied at 45, Zander Stephens and Andrew Starkey hit three straight triples to give the Blackcats a nine point lead late.

Even with all the outside shooting, our Applebees of Farmington player of the game award went to Riley Fraire. He finished with 11 points, 13 rebounds and nine blocks. Fredericktown head coach Joaby Sikes says Fraire was the best version of himself.

West County closes the regular season at 13-11. They get a bye in the first round of Class Three District Three as the number one seed. Fredericktown improves to 11-13 with games at Central and Herculaneum to close the regular season next week.
