(FREDERICKTOWN) The Battle of the Blackcats belongs to Fredericktown.

A suprisingly defensive effort resulted in a scoreless first quarter, before Fredericktown’s backup sophomore quarterback broke the ice to Noah Korokis.
7-0 was the halftime score, and Herculaneum opened up the second half through the air, including it’s first score at 4th and 2 from the 5 yard line to Austin Huson.
Fredericktown focused on the ground game with lead, relying on senior Logan Bowling.
Herky continued to attack through the air, as quarterback Jordan Duncan dropped a raindrop to wide receiver Luke Teague.
Special teams was a notable impact for Fredericktown, scoring a touchdown for the second week in a row and punter Colten Jordan pinning Herky inside the five yard line three times. Head coach Chuck Ford was impressed with the third phase of the game.
