Fredericktown's Linley Rehkop Signs With Evangel

(Fredericktown) Fredericktown High School senior track star Linley Rehkop signed to continue her track career at Evangel University in Springfield on Tuesday. Rehkop, who is a runner as well as a thrower, chose Evangel partially because of the opportunity to continue to do both.

Rehkop has finished in the top 15 in Missouri in the long jump, the javelin throw, and the 100-meter dash, and holds school records in the latter two. Her favorites are the javelin and sprinting, and she was drawn to Evangel because she could focus on them.

Before she heads off to college, however, Rehkop has more to accomplish in high school. She hopes to finish in the top three in the state in both sprinting and javelin and wants to break even more school records.
