Free Bridge in Iron County

(Vulcan) If you can swing it, the Missouri Department of Transportation is giving away a bridge for free and it’s located in Iron County.

Karen Daniels is the senior historic preservation specialist for MODOT.

She tells us about their bridge giveaway program.

Daniels says you can check out the bridge right now.

It’s the Historic Highway 49 Bridge over Branch Creek in southern Iron County.

If you would like to take this Iron County bridge off of MODOT’s hands, your proposal needs to be submitted no later than December 31st.
