(Perryville) The National Weather Service and the Perry County Emergency Management Agency is hosting a free class on Monday, February 24th in Perryville.

Andrew Bohnert is the director of Perry County Emergency Management.

He tells us about this informative program.

Perry County has had it’s share of tornadoes in recent years such as the Febuary 28th, 2017 twister which killed one and injured twelve and the Crosstown tornado on September 22nd, 2006 where six people were injured.

Both twisters were rated F4 and they also destroyed numerous homes, businesses and other structures.

This free weather spotter program will take place at the Robinson Event Center at 2411 Walters Lane in Perryville on Monday, February 24th from 6 until 8 p.m.

You do need to pre-register by going to the Paducah, Kentucky National Weather Service website.
