Fugitive Arrested in Franklin County Now in Crawford County Jail

(Steelville) A 41-year-old man who has been on the run for more than two years has been arrested in Franklin County.

Paul Burks Junior was charged in November of 2021 with two counts of first-degree statutory rape of a child under age 14.

Reports say Burks continually eluded arrest until detectives found him at a residence in Catawissa.

He’s being held in the Crawford County Jail in Steelville with bail set at 100-thousand-dollars cash only on each count.
