Gas Prices Could Rise Again

(Jefferson City) The cost of a gallon of gas could reach as high as $4 in some areas by Memorial Day 2022.

That’s according to a new GasBuddy forecast, which predicts the national average will climb to $3.41 a gallon in 2022.

By comparison, this year’s national average was $3.02.

Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy says “We could see a national average that flirts with, or in a worst-case scenario, potentially exceeds $4 a gallon,”

Gas prices have been going down over the past month, to under $3 a gallon in most places in Missouri.
